Data Engineer
Infosys is seeking a Data Engineer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications :
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario / Calgary, Alberta or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

- Develop and maintain Python-based web applications
- Should have Worked in all phases of the Software development life cycle (SDLC) starting from requirement gathering, designing functional document to implementation, delivery, test planning, execution, and production support.
- Knowledge on Agile Methodology (scrum process), and understanding of all key scrum ceremonies like story grooming, etc.
- Ensure Sprint dedication and release goals are met, understand program/ project objectives, and meet the release goals. Metrics to be met as per agreed SLA for the team.
- Own the team on technical guidance, mentoring as needed.
- Coordinate with offshore team, client team and take end to end responsibility of project delivery.
- Customer management, weekly reports/ governance, and cadence with ITPMs, Architects as needed.
- Experience using Databricks
- Experience with testing or data accuracy/quality designs.
- Strong SQL skills and background in ETL.
- Familiar with developing distributed data pipelines using Apache Spark
- Ability to be a part of a diverse team/ multiple stakeholder environment.
- Good knowledge in Angular or React or Javascript.
- Experience in REST, Microservices, , XML, XSLT.
- Experience with cloud-based platform.
- Experience using continuous deployment / continuous integration (CI / CD) technology.
- Analytical skills to identify root cause and come up with solutions/alternatives.
- Working in an agile environment- with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe methodologies.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
Estimated annual compensation range for the candidate based in the below location will be:
Ontario: $ 89004 to $ 115491
