Infosys is seeking a Data Engineer
The Infosys Data and Analytics unit is dedicated to helping clients adopt an approach to ubiquitously create value from data. We move them away from the conventional use case or point solution-led approach, towards the path to building industrialized capabilities to monetize data. We begin by creating an integrated blueprint of opportunities - unique to their business - for data-led value creation. Thereon we chart the roadmap to incrementally build the capabilities they need to deliver on the blueprint. This involves Modernizing the core to prepare for the digital transformation, building intelligent systems that interpret data cognitively to discover new signals and connect the unconnected and Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to nurture a learnable and adaptable enterprise that evolves at digital speed.

In the assigned job role of Technology Consultant 2, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle in Big data and Cloud. You will also be expected to build high-throughput, fault tolerant systems with requirements including elicitation, application architecture, definition, and design. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Required/Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
Demonstrated capability in the following areas:
- Hadoop, AWS, DevOps, ETL and Banking domain
- Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
- Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
- Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
- Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
- Predict the project's time and effort, cost, and scope, and identify gaps and issues
- Ability to plan and prioritize team workloads by accurately estimating resources and timelines, proactively identify risks, monitor execution against key metrics, and adapt swiftly to contingencies to ensure optimal delivery
- Capability in Python, Scala, Unix and deploying cluster in cloud environments
- Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards. Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
- Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects
- Steer project through its lifecycle and create comprehensive documents
- Ability to design architecture and provide solutions

- The ability to handle end to end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation
- The ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Addison, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project location.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. you should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
