This role is part of the Data Solutions team, under the leadership of the Data Solutions Partner for supporting the team in expanding and improving business capabilities and executing change. The Data Solutions team faces off to key business areas and business partners with data use cases to guide them, support them in designing and achieving their business objectives with data in a way that it is sustainable, risk aware and compliant with market and company standards.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and BAU issues.
- Delivery of detailed data analysis, data flows, data lineage, and definition of data, including roles and responsibilities at the attribute level, supported by robust metadata management.
- Contribute to the definition of changes and operational processes by understanding the business process and data flows, handoffs, dependencies, tools.
- Take accountability for investigating and resolving BAU data issues, providing root cause analysis, implementing preventative measures, and collaborating with business teams, technology, and outsource providers to deliver tested resolutions.
- Drive and manage agreement of business requirements, data and technical requirements with the relevant business, Data and Technology teams.
- Ensure defects, changing requirements and dependencies are tracked and managed.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for analysis and project delivery
- Support the onboarding of new security types for the business, identifying any impacts to operating model, delivering any required change to embed into operational teams.
- Support the onboarding of new data sources/files and any change to existing data sources.
- Supporting business areas to onboard to data sets and answering queries from the Data Help Desk, promoting self-service and data literacy.
- Producing and maintain required documentation, including operating models, Data dictionaries and catalogues.
- Monitor dashboards to identify Data Quality Issues. Review and deliver business requirements for new data quality checks in addition to identifying new opportunities for improving data quality.
- Identify opportunities for automation of data processes and reporting to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Support data governance initiatives by ensuring compliance with internal data policies, regulatory requirements and contributing to data stewardship activities.
- Bachelor's degree or master's Degree (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of relevant experience.
- Must have experience of working on Data project/s, with domain experience in Security Master data within the Asset Management Industry.
- Collaborative approach to working with business stakeholders, architects, the CDO team and subject matter experts alike, to establish the facts, and ensure good understanding of requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience in eliciting, documenting, and validating business and data requirements using structured methodologies
- Good understanding of data governance concepts including data domains, data ownership, data stewardship and application of critical data element standards and definitions
- Experience of working with business and technical stakeholders on requirements.
- Ability to analyze and document complex data flows, transformations, and lineage at the attribute level across systems and business processes.
- Hands-on experience in defining and implementing data quality rules, monitoring dashboards, and root cause analysis of data quality issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business-friendly language and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data management and operations.
- Knowledge of SQL to perform data analysis.
