Project Role: Custom MES Development & Support Lead
Role Description: Leading a team of developers to design, build, and provide ongoing operational support for custom-built MES solutions using a .Net and Oracle technology stack. This role requires a strong understanding of both the software development lifecycle and manufacturing processes within the CPG industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and operational support of custom-built MES solutions for multi-site projects within the CPG industry. You will need a deep understanding of business processes and a strong domain knowledge of this sector.
- Manage a team responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and development to ongoing operational support for custom systems across multiple sites. This includes handling daily technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and leading small enhancement work to improve system functionality.
- Prepare effort estimations.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical architects to design and implement robust, scalable solutions that meet business requirements.
- Conduct code reviews, test solutions, and provide knowledge transfer to L2 support teams.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to your team, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of work.
- Proven, hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying custom MES applications from the ground up using the .Net framework and C#.
- Deep experience in both back-end and front-end development, including an understanding of modern web technologies for user interfaces.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle database design and development, including writing efficient PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and optimizing queries for performance.
- Experience in operational support is crucial, including debugging custom .Net code, troubleshooting system performance, and resolving user-reported issues in a production environment.
- Experience in small enhancement work, such as adding new features, modifying existing reports, or integrating new data sources to improve system usability and efficiency.
- Sound knowledge of industrial communication protocols like OPC UA, enabling seamless integration with PLCs, SCADA, and other shop floor equipment.
- Experience in integrating custom solutions with ERP & Quality systems using middleware technologies.
- Familiarity with the concepts of MOM and Historian for data collection and analysis.
