CAD/CAE Lead Consultant

Infosys is seeking CAD/CAE Lead Consultant. In this role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
Candidate can be located anywhere in the US. This position will require travel to project locations.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution in Mechanical / Computer Science/ Information Systems Management or related field required. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7+ years Strong Hands-On experience in CAD/CAE applications development, support and maintenance - Siemens products (NX, SolidEdge, Nastran, FEMAP, Mentor apps), Autodesk Products (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, 3DS Max etc.), Creo, Mathworks Products (Matlab, Simulink, etc.), ECAD, Ansys and others similar applications across Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, MBSE and related domains.
• Excellent skills in troubleshooting application-related issues and coordinating with software vendors or internal IT for resolution.
• Perform regular system maintenance, including updates, patches and license management.
• Assist in deployment, configuration, and validation of engineering tools and software environment.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements or upgrades to meet user needs.
• Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and support knowledge base.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and compliant application usage.
• Provide training and user support for new features or applications as required.
• Support integration of engineering applications with other business systems (e.g., ERP, PLM, MES).
• Participation in application testing and validation as part of change control and upgrading processes.
• Adheres to global IT standards, policies and procedures and coordinate related activities with global IT teams.
Candidates must be willing to work in rotational shifts, as the role may involve combination of regular shifts and off shift support needs as they arise

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven track record of planning and driving support transitions for engineering application support teams.
• Good experience with license server management (e.g., FlexNet, LM-X) and optimizations.
• Good experience in managing support teams of small sizes (10-15) and handling critical issues.
• Administers, maintains, and evaluates CAD/CAE and Other Engineering design applications and related system management and maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills, including hardware, software, and basic networking. • Scripting or automation skills (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash)
• Excellent past track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud-based or virtualized engineering environments.
• ITIL certification or familiarity with service management practices.
• Ability to set priorities and manage workload and multiple tasks simultaneously.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA/ WA/NY/CO/MD/IL/MN/NJ: $94,000 to $131,600.
In Washington, DC: $85,700 to $124,600
