Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
At least 4+ years of experience working with CAE/CAD applications support
This role may involve elevated access to Impact Level 4 (IL4) data and/or security requirements for handling controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive data as defined by US Department of Defense (DoD) The eligible candidates must be a US Citizens only
L2 and L3 support services and Problem resolution
Coordinate with users and Helpdesk Level 1 (L1) team in case further clarification is needed
DB Administration, License management, User and Release Management
Application user management, administration, and access rights
Configuration Management and SR, Application Upgrades, Patches and deployment
System Administration, Governance, L3 Level Defect disposition and resolution
Handling minor enhancements / Operations demands
Should be able to plan and execute Disaster recovery
Backup management and health checks, keep system documentation up to date
Co-ordinate with third party vendors, as applicable, for resolution of product issues
Co-ordinate with other departments as required for issue resolution
Perform required testing and update test scripts to keep them current
Participate in defect triage calls for Sev-1/Sev-2 as applicable
Problem Management
Create problem tickets for identified problems
Analyze root cause and design solution
Test the solution in QA environment
Co-ordinate with user for user acceptance testing
Create and update problem tickets, change records and change documentation as needed
Monitor if the issue is still occurring
Change Management
Follow Change Management process to create a request ticket in the Customer workflow tool to record the request and use SNOW to process the request
Follow Change Management process for proper tracking of the request, move, and required signoffs and approvals including documentation to support the change
Participate in change advisory board meetings and provide technical input on upcoming changes
Preventive Maintenance
Regular service monitoring of applications and databases Interface with the infrastructure team to finalize and decide the appropriate backups
Perform root cause analysis and fix of repeat incidents
Periodic Monitor and manage interfaces/ batch activities
Enhancements
Participate in the high level and detailed level requirements discussion for various interfaces, extensions, and customization
Prepare the functional requirement document if required
Identify the code changes and align them with normal release
Test interface on development, UAT, and move it to Production instance
Prepare estimations for development work and provide the estimates to Project Manager
Prepare Technical Specification Documents for components to be developed
Coding and Unit Testing as per the design
Development and documentation activities to be carried as per IT Standards
Co-ordination with Business Users and Super Users for interface development work
Support the UAT and Go-live activities
Plan and lead process improvements
Knowledge Management
Periodic connect with Business users and SMEs and will share the knowledge on incident resolutions with them
Preferred Qualification:
Services & consulting experience in Aerospace Engineering and ITAR regulatory
Experience with CAE, CAD and CFD applications like Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran/Patran, Caesam, Femap, lsDyna, Dytran, Optistruct etc
Hands-on experience with scripting languages like shell, perl, python, bash etc
Business process knowledge in engineering domain like program management, design/system engineering, manufacturing, quality, compliance, validation
Business Process transformation engagement experience with Customers
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Strategic and analytical mindset with high consultative and problem-solving skills
Ability to embrace and promote rapid adoption of new knowledge, practices, and processes
Understand US compliance standards (ITAR)
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
