AWS Data Engineer

Infosys is seeking an AWS Data Engineer. In this role, you will enable digital transformation for our clients in a global delivery model, research on technologies independently, recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards. You will be responsible to interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Charlotte, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least 2 years of Information Technology experience
  • At least 1 year of AWS experience
  • Experience in end-to-end implementation using technologies such as AWS and Snowflake,
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting, and Python
  • Preferred Qualification:
    • Knowledge in Cable Modem provisioning and management (DOCSIS knowledge is a significant plus).
    • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.), Redshift.
    • Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
    • Strong experience with Splunk for log aggregation, analysis, and dashboarding.
    • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Oracle databases, including performance tuning and SQL query optimization.
    • Scripting proficiency in languages like Python, Bash
    The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
