Application Support Engineer
Infosys is seeking an Application Support Engineer with monitoring tools experience. As a Production Services Specialist, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring availability and reliability of assigned production applications within a line of business. To perform this function, the resource will have to perform daily tasks assigned by the Production Support Lead.
Required Skills:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance or willing to relocate to Dallas, TX, Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC. This position may require travel in the US
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

• At least 4 years' experience with UNIX and Windows system admin.
• Ability to use different monitoring/profiling tools (Dynatrace, Autosys, Splunk, AppDynamics, AWR reports etc.) to monitor, gather, and report application performance on Windows or Linux machines.
• Expertise in server monitoring, Agents monitoring and Node management.
• Should be responsible for monitoring and fixing the items in Workbaskets, broken queues, and Health check.
• Collaborate with multiple technology support teams during production issue triage as well as maintenance and upgrade projects.
• Develop custom automation to streamline support processes (Shell/ Python scripting).
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring problems by partnering with other teams to develop long-term resolutions, including implementing preventative measures to minimize problems and production outages.
• Knowledge of Oracle/SQL server.
• Work with the multiple vendor support teams in troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading the software solutions.
• Monitor multiple application instances, files and access for all enterprise security rules compliance and remediate violations if any and ensuring availability, continuity, and operational efficiency.

• Knowledge of ITIL concepts like Incident and Problem Management.
• Experience in monitoring tools Autosys, ITRS, SPLUNK, Dynatrace and App Dynamics
• Good UNIX, Linux, Wintel, Perl/Shell/Python scripting
• Horizon (Atlassian) tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence)
• CI/CD systems and deployment techniques
• SQL/Database queries for data extraction.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
