Infosys is seeking a AMI Principal Consultant - In this role, you will understand customer issues, diagnose problems, design solutions and facilitate solution deployment, business analysis operations and support, lead large transformation projects by leveraging your domain and process skills in one/more of the functional skills including and not limited to Smart Metering (AMI 1.0/1.5/2.0), Field Services, Customer Care, Billing, Payments, Credit & collections, self-service functions etc. You will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

This position is based out of Rosemead; CA. Candidate can work from anywhere in USA and or remote during PST time zone. This position may require travel to project locations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The typical responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
• Should be able to lead requirement gathering, functional design and business process definitions
• Should be able to Work with Internal and external stakeholders to understand the service/function/product provided
• Should be able to effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
• Should be able to map the customer requirements into the product and suggest workarounds/solutions for the requirements
• Should be able to create the AS-IS and TO-Be Process documents and identify gaps in the product/solution
• Should have good understanding of the AMI, Grid and the CIS systems across the meter to cash value chain
• Should be able to assist the Testing team with the functional areas to be tested
• The candidate must be a team player and is also expected to help the project team with any functional issues that may arise during the course of the project

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty for each year of education.
• At least 11 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience within the utility sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry operations and strategic initiatives along with the listed responsibilities and skill sets.

Preferred Experiences:

• Proven track record of significant contributions and leadership in the successful planning, implementation, and optimization of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) programs, including smart meter deployment, data management, operational integration, Distributed Intelligence, AMI 2.0 planning, DI use cases development, AMI to ADMS Integration etc
• Comprehensive expertise in various facets of Grid Modernization, encompassing areas such as Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration, smart grid technologies, grid automation, analytics-driven grid operations, and resilience enhancements.
• Highly developed business acumen with the ability to translate technical complexities of AMI 2.0 and Grid Modernization into clear business value, strategic roadmaps, and actionable plans.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including internal departments (e.g., IT, Operations, Customer Service), external vendors, regulatory bodies, and industry peers.
• Ability to define and execute long-term strategies for evolving utility networks, leveraging emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Understanding of utility market and evolving technology trends (e.g. AMI 2.0, Distributed Intelligence, AI, Analytics etc) \
• Understanding of Utility AMI 2.0 Key market players (Itron, L+G, Honeywell, Aclara, Siemens etc) products
• Experience and desire to work in a consulting environment that requires travels
• Should have excellent soft-skills and leadership skills to lead assessment workshops
• Exposure to US Utility Market specifically AMI 2.0 and Grid Modernization areas
• Good interpersonal communications and analytical ability
• Knowledge of latest frameworks like ITIL, CMMI, Agile, JIRA, ADO would be an advantage
• Knowledge of creating Backlogs with Epics, Features and User Stories.• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ : 114000 to 167000
Washington, DC : 106000 to 147500

The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
