Infosys is seeking an AI/ML Engineer (Generative AI & Intelligent Agents) Engineer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within Austin, TX or be willing to travel to these locations. This position may require travel in the US.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 2 years of Information Technology experience
Experience in AI/ML
Knowledge with full SDLC lifecycle
Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in AI/ML development, with expertise in Generative AI and AI agents
At least 2 years of strong experience in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers
At least 2 years of experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.), vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Strong understanding of NLP, deep learning, and model fine-tuning techniques
Knowledge of prompt engineering, reinforcement learning, and AI safety principles
At least 2 years of experience in Unix/Linux Usage
At least 2 years of experience Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
Ability to work in team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
Analytical skills.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience with self-learning AI agents, autonomous workflows, or multi-agent systems.
Background in graph-based AI, symbolic reasoning, or cognitive architectures.
Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or research publications in relevant domains.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
