Job Description/Requirements

Salary: Expected base pay rate for this role will be between $106,000 and $125,000 USD per year at the commencement of employment.

However, if hired, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis (pay rates may vary) and is only one part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other IMAX sponsored benefit programs.

About the Role

IMAX is looking for a Manager, Operations to join our growing Creative team. Reporting to the VP, Global Creative Marketing, you'll leverage and integrate right-sized digital tools to enhance workflows that lead to greater efficiencies and increase productivity across the creative team and the whole of the marketing organization as it relates to media asset storage and distribution, project management and resource management.

You'll primarily focus on engaging with pre-existing 3 rd party technology providers including but not limited to Basecamp, Adstream and Kantata, but as part of a larger companywide digital transformation roadmap, you'll work closely with Marketing Business Partners, leverage the technology team's Help Desk & its consultative services while ensuring alignment with Enterprise Transformation and our Digital Products & Experiences team. What You'll Do:
  • Define, capture, optimize process and workflows as it relates to technological integrations and PSAs (Professional Service Automations); effectively translate technological benefits to users
  • Manage, sustain, and consistently evolve current digital tools - Adstream (Digital Asset Management tool), Kantata (Project Management tool), Basecamp, Hightail, and Server
  • Act as the daily point of contact for all external professional Service Automation tool providers
  • Complete the launch, rollout, training and evolution of our new Project Management & Resourcing Tool — Kantata
  • Build, lead, and provide training workshops, on-boarding tools, instructional videos, and manuals to keep users up-to-speed and well-informed across digital tools
  • Partner with the Digital Products team and IT on streamlining workstreams as it relates to creative material delivery
  • Build dashboards, automations, reporting tools, etc. that help the creative and Marketing organizations run much more efficiently and provides the right resource and project data points to build business cases for additional resourcing across projects and campaigns
  • Lead digital archiving for all creative materials and digital media, own and implement metadata strategy, and manage changes to digital tools to reflect the evolution of the creative and marketing organization and changes with users
What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of successful experience across building, managing, and launching PSAs (Professional Service Automations) platforms including Creative, Project Management, Media Management and Time/Resource Management tools, ideally within creative/advertising/marketing agency sectors
  • Data-driven thinker and experience with building automated data-driven reports and dashboards
  • Experience with successfully launching technology tools, processes, workstreams, and new frameworks cross-divisionally within complicated business eco-systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of any PSAs and Basecamp, Kantata, and Adstream
Nice to Have:
  • Experience within the entertainment (Theatrical, Streaming, Broadcast) industry is a plus
  • Strong people management and partnership management skills, balancing the power of soft and hard (tech.) skills
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and work through problems with partners taking them along for the journey - one team, one dream mentality - whilst also setting very clear boundaries and expectations
  • Ability to think bigger than the task initially presented and identify deliverables not initially presented
  • Great follow-through, prioritization, and organizational skills
