Job Description/Requirements

About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Applications & Integrations, the Analyst, SAP Business Systems will provide internal support of our SAP solution, in particular FI and CO.

This position will be responsible for working with Information Systems staff and be a trusted partner and subject matter expert to our business systems users globally. This role will also be critical in leading our transformation from ECC to S/4HANA.

What You'll Do:
  • Configures, supports, and enhances various functional aspects of the SAP system landscape including troubleshooting of application problems, performing system configuration, analysis of business requirements and their translations into SAP specific context
  • Develops requirements, business specifications, and testing documents. Performs unit testing in development and quality assurance and recommends test scenarios. Assists with UAT and automated test scenarios
  • Manages daily issues and problem solving related to FICO
  • Recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements, communicates change to related areas
  • Expands business and technical knowledge of SAP functional areas for current and upcoming technological advancements
  • Researches and recommends enhancements of SAP functional areas including the use and integration of cloud products (such as SAP Analytics Cloud, One Source tax solution, Ariba, Concur, etc.)
  • Develops new techniques and innovative approaches to enhance system functionality and automate business processes
  • Assists in the execution of system processes to support interfaces, reporting requirements and year-end reporting
  • Works in a highly collaborative style with peers and customers and leads small teams as needed
  • Ensures internal controls and standards are maintained
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or Economics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills: must demonstrate a strong 'consulting persona' to senior business leaders
  • Strong knowledge and experience in business process development and design, and familiarity with typical SAP methodology artifacts (e.g., SAP Activate)
  • Strong SAP FICO background coupled with experience with products such as Concur Invoicing, One Source. Good understanding of global intercompany finance and accounting processes
  • Demonstrated integration experience with other related modules (SD, MM, PS, PP, BW, BPC, CRM, PLM)
  • Good understanding of SAP reporting tools and available standard reports for Finance and Controlling
  • Experience with S/4 HANA and S/4 Simplification concepts
  • Participated in SAP upgrade planning and support
  • Demonstrated ability to capture and realize requirements based on complex processes
  • Ability to effectively view and explain issues and resolutions from an end-user and business perspective
  • A track record of providing exemplary customer service
  • Demonstrated understanding of business processes and the underlying financial transactions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present and explain technical information to non-technical audiences
  • A willingness to learn, teach and share information with peers, management and users is required
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • A strong bias for action and leading tasks to completion
  • Experience with at least two full SAP life cycle implementation preferred
  • Minimum of five or more years' experience as an SAP FICO functional analyst or in a similar role
  • SAP Certification and CA, CGA, or similar professional designation preferred
