About the Role

iCapital is seeking a strategic and results-driven Assistant Vice President, Project Manager to join our Advisor Platform Product department. This role will lead the planning and execution of complex, cross-functional software development initiatives that are critical to firm-wide priorities. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of delivering enterprise-scale technology projects in financial services, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, manage risk, and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the end-to-end delivery of strategic software initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and resource plans.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, UX, Legal, Compliance, and Sales teams to ensure seamless execution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and resolve project risks and blockers proactively, escalating, when necessary, with clear context and recommendations.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA; ensure backlog grooming and sprint planning are tightly managed.
  • Oversee project tracking tools (i.e. Monday.com, JIRA), ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely delivery across teams.
  • Facilitate decision-making forums and working sessions to align teams, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and implementing scalable solutions that enhance delivery efficiency and quality.

 

 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in project management or business analysis roles, with 2+ years in a Project Leadership capacity
  • Proven experience delivering complex software projects in financial services or fintech environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders and teams toward a common goal.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, anticipate challenges and develop solutions and operate with a risk management mindset
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com); experience managing sprint cycles and cross-team dependencies 
  • Operational rigor with a focus on process improvement, workload distribution, and team enablement
  • Experience peer influencing projects fostering a culture of accountability and growth and able to coach junior team members and influence without direct authority
  • PMP, SAFe, CSM, or CSP certifications are a plus
  • Able to translate high-level business goals into actionable project plans and deliverables
  • Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environment

 

 

 

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).

We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
