About the Role

iCapital is seeking a highly experienced and strategic-minded Global Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead the People department and be responsible for developing and executing Human Resources strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives, while supporting iCapital’s overall vision and mission. Reporting to the CFO, the CPO will oversee a global team of 30+ people covering all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, compensation and benefits, learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and HR technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that are globally consistent and locally applicable.
  • Lead and scale the HR team ensuring it is executing all aspects of HR operations and is poised to support a rapidly growing organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership to assess current and future talent needs and develop programs to ensure the organization manages and places its talent efficiently.
  • Partner with the business as an internal consultant and change agent to effect growth oriented organizational design.
  • Embrace a “pay for performance” culture and oversee the design and administration of competitive total rewards programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention efforts by fostering a positive work culture, implementing leadership and development programs and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Be fully immersed in the business to be able to provide practical guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay current with relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant with all legal requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and best practices through data analysis, feedback mechanisms, and benchmarking against industry best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all people-related matters and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the talent efforts associated with scaling the company into new markets and countries.
  • Direct all talent due diligence efforts associated with mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with 5+ years in a CHRO position
  • Global experience required, finance/fintech and public company experience preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and objectives
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organizational performance and employee engagement
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results
  • Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Agile thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to drive change, role model and “test and learn” approach and the able to coach direct reports to do the same
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $300,000 to $375,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).

We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. We offer most employees the flexibility to work in the office three or four days and this role can be based in our Greenwich, CT office or NY, NY office.  Every department has different needs, and some positions will be designated in-office jobs, based on their function.
