In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities
As an entry level Application Developer at IBM, you'll work with clients to co-create solutions to major real-world challenges by using best practice technologies, tools, techniques, and products to translate system requirements into the design and development of customized systems. In your role, you may be responsible for:
- Working across the entire system architecture to design, develop, and support high quality, scalable products and interfaces for our clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define technical specifications for generative AI projects
- Employing IBM's Design Thinking to create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability
- Working with a variety of relational databases (SQL, Postgres, DB2, MongoDB), operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android), and modern UI frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS, React, Ember.js, Bootstrap, and JQuery)
- Creating everything from mockups and UI components to algorithms and data structures as you deliver a viable product

An Application Developer/Analyst specializing in Content Management Systems - Sitecore, Drupal, Optimizely, Wordpress, Contentful, Bloomreach etc is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting application solutions for CMS on various customer platforms. This role involves creating themes, skins, templates, and workflows. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Application Developer will translate business requirements into technology solutions, perform unit and integration testing, and address any troubleshooting needs. The focus is on creating efficient and user-friendly CMS systems that meet business needs and are compatible with different.

- Requirement Analysis and Content Implementation: Proficient in reviewing project specifications, implementing new content, modifying existing content, and retiring outdated content.
- Content Management and Compliance: Effectively manages enterprise knowledge and content, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and quality benchmarks. Resolves customer support issues or escalates them as needed.
- Content Migration Expertise: Capable of migrating content between different CMS platforms, creating detailed migration plans, and using relevant tools to prevent data loss or corruption.
- Quality Assurance and Accessibility: Conducts comprehensive checks on spelling, grammar, content accessibility, and overall page functionality, employing manual testing and automated tools.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Collaborates with cross-functional teams, applying technical expertise to resolve problems and ensure consistent application of Web Content Management principles.
