Your role and responsibilities

Test Quality Engineer, IBM Corporation, New York, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

  • Test applications in the Financial Services domain leveraging AI (artificial intelligence), Automation, UAT and Integration Testing.
  • Define test strategy, test plan preparation, requirement analysis, test result and metrics analysis, prepare status reports, and root cause analysis.
  • Manage global testing teams.
  • Work on test automation related activities that include AI and other tools such as FAST, with the goal of converting manual cases into automated scripts.
  • Create resource or capacity plans and provide an analysis and estimate of upcoming projects to determine the team's capacity and allocation to each agile squad.
  • Monitor quality assurance and risk management by tracking tests and defects to uphold quality standards and mitigate risks.
  • Act as the primary client contact for test-related matters, interface daily with clients to align objectives and maintain project standards.
  • Create comprehensive test artifacts and provide leadership with regular updates and insights for decision-making.
  • Responsible for process improvement and training including leading initiatives to improve processes and conduct training sessions to enhance team skills.
  • Manage ALM tools and Jira workflows, track KPIs, and reporting progress.
  • Coordinate test environments and vendors to meet project needs.
  • Collaborate with development, analysis, and project teams to integrate testing seamlessly.
  • Lead the development and execution of test strategies for critical banking programs, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry best practices.
  • Ensure test strategies provide clear guidelines and approach for the UAT (User acceptance team), ensuring proper execution within each Agile squad per PO expectations.
  • Attend scrum and agile cadence meetings to ensure test quality; review results with product owners for transparency.
  • Create scorecards for each squad and release to evaluate performance, identify best actions, and apply lessons learned to future releases.
  • Incorporate the latest automation tools and AI practices in optimizing test cases and execution strategies that will increase testing capacity, coverage and accuracy.
  • Utilize: Scrum Framework, Jira, User Acceptance Testing, Selenium, SQL, Agile Methodology, Application Lifecycle Management.
