IBM's mission is accelerating client's Digital transformation journey. The Technology Expert Labs (TEL)team plays a pivotal role in helping clients adopt IBM's cutting-edge Observability & Infrastructure automation technologies with speed and confidence.

We are looking for a Practice Leader to lead the Observability & infrastructure Automation, including solutions such as Turbonomic, Instana, Concert, Terraform, Vault, Nomad offerings. You will serve as the strategic owner of the Automation services business, responsible for enabling client success, accelerating adoption, and driving revenue growth.

As the TEL Practice Leader for Observability & Infrastructure Automation, you will be a strategic leader with full ownership of the Observability & Infrastructure Automation services business across global markets. You will shape delivery strategy, partner closely with product teams, and lead a world-class team of technical consultants to help our clients succeed with IBM's Observability & Infrastructure automation offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Observability & Infrastructure Automation practice within TEL, driving strategy, execution, and financial performance (revenue and gross profit).
  • Act as the single point of ownership for Observability & Infrastructure Automation services across IBM's product portfolio (e.g., Turbonomic, Instana, Concert, Terraform, Vault, etc.).
  • Develop and execute a services growth plan in close collaboration with Brand, Sales, and Productleaders.
  • Build, scale, and lead a high-performing consulting team with up-to-date skills and certificationsacross IBM Automation technologies.
  • Influence product roadmap based on insights from client engagements, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Guide go-to-market initiatives including sales enablement, delivery packaging, staffing strategy, and skills planning.
  • Represent IBM as a thought leader in Observability & Infrastructure automation, both internally and externally with clients and industry forums.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in technical consulting, delivery, or services leadership in Automation platforms or Observability domains.
  • Deep expertise in IBM Observability & Infrastructure Automation (e.g., Turbonomic, Instana, Concert, Terraform, Vault, Nomad or equivalent technologies).
  • Proven success in growing and managing a services business, including P&L ownership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading global, matrixed teams and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Ability to influence product and GTM strategy based on client needs and market shifts.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience with modern Observability & Infrastructure Automation domain (e.g., Application & Infrastructure Performance Management, app security & resilience, multi-cloud and hybrid deployment).
  • Familiarity with Digital transformation, APM & Application resource management
  • Prior experience in an IBM consulting or product-aligned technical leadership role.
  • Recognized industry speaker or contributor in the Observability & Infrastructure Automation space
