Strategy Consultant

As a Strategy Consultant at IBM, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of industry-specific and cross-industry competitive strategies. Your role and responsibilities
You will analyze complex business issues facing the IBM Infrastructure Business Unit. This business comprises of leading-edge offerings such as Cloud, Z (Mainframe), Power, Storage and Technical support services. This business is the foundation for IBM's push to be a leader in AI and Hybrid Cloud. You will need to understand the broad trends in Hybrid Cloud and AI and apply appropriate methodologies to develop strategies and tactics to enhance the performance of IBM Infrastructure business. You will be a member of the Global Infrastructure Strategy team that sets priorities for the business and communicates it externally to clients, market analysts, VCs, etc.
Tasks and Responsibilities include:
- Support IBM Infrastructure leaders in developing strategic insights
- Conduct analysis with IBM strategy team stakeholders to identify root causes, test hypotheses, and define targeted business outcomes
- Collect and synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights through research, interviews, analyst reports, and internal databases
- Prepare clear, compelling client presentations that communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic options effectively with supporting data and analyses
- Develop prioritized implementation plans and work with business stakeholders to drive outcomes on leadership aligned initiatives
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred education
Master's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- MBA from a Tier-1 business school
- 2-3 years of post-MBA experience
- Able to travel approximately 10% annually
- Fluent in English
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in STEM
- Exposure to technology or strategy consulting industry
- Fluency in creating quantitative models in Excel and presentations in Powerpoint
