You will join a team managing the lifecycle of infrastructure and security, enhancing IBM's cloud solutions to ensure enterprises achieve efficiency, security, and scalability in their cloud journey.

Your role and responsibilities

HashiCorp solves development, operations, and security challenges in infrastructure so organizations can focus on business-critical tasks. We build products to give organizations a consistent way to manage their move to cloud-based IT infrastructures for running their applications. Our products enable companies large and small to mix and match AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other clouds as well as on-premises environments, easing their ability to deliver new applications.

• Architect and Enhance Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure: Design, build, and optimize HashiCorp's global infrastructure strategy to seamlessly support multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises systems.
• Advance Infrastructure Automation at Scale: Lead the development and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code pipelines (using Terraform, Ansible, etc.), automating provisioning, orchestration, and configuration management in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud ecosystems to minimize manual effort and boost consistency.
• Drive Reliability & Incident Response Engineering: Define and execute robust incident detection, root cause analysis, and automated remediation procedures tailored for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud implementations, ensuring operational excellence and rapid service restoration regardless of deployment topology.
• Optimize Performance and Cost Across Environments: Implement sophisticated monitoring, telemetry, and performance tuning techniques to maximize uptime, optimize resource consumption, and control costs in complex, multi-cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Lead Platform and Tooling Development: Develop advanced internal tooling and APIs (leveraging Python, Go, or Rust) to abstract operational complexity and enable self-service infrastructure consumption across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
• Provide hands-on mentorship to Engineers, guiding architectural reviews and technical projects focused specifically on the unique challenges of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud system designs.
• Champion Continuous Innovation: Evaluate, pilot, and standardize emerging solutions and approaches tailored for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud scenarios, setting technical vision and process evolution for the entire organization.
• Foster a Culture of Collaboration: Drive close collaboration among engineering, product, and security teams to deliver unified system reliability and best-in-class user experiences in complex, cross-cloud and hybrid cloud deployments.

• You have 15+ years of progressive technical experience building, scaling, and operating multi-cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructures for mission-critical systems.
• You are an architect with deep, production-grade knowledge of distributed system design across AWS, GCP, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments, skilled at integrating on-premises and cloud-native platforms.
• You are hands-on with infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native services, and orchestration tools (Nomad, Kubernetes), with direct experience in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud automation at scale.
• You build robust internal tooling (in Python, Go, or Rust) that abstracts away differences between clouds and simplifies operational complexity in heterogeneous environments.
• You have led advanced incident response and reliability engineering for multi-cloud and hybrid cloud deployments, including creating cross-cloud monitoring, alerting, and response strategies.
• You provide thought leadership, mentorship, and set engineering standards for teams building and supporting multi-cloud or hybrid cloud services.
• You have a proven record of aligning technical strategies with business objectives and influencing executive decision-making regarding multi-cloud and hybrid cloud adoption.
• You thrive on tackling the operational and security challenges inherent to multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, driving continuous improvement throughout your organization
