Your role and responsibilities
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated, cloud-native supply chain applications specifically tailored for the complex needs of automotive OEMs. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise in modern web technologies and cloud platforms, combined with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members. If you're passionate about building scalable, resilient software on AWS and tackling intricate industry challenges, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native applications hosted on AWS.
* Develop high-quality, well-tested code for both front-end (React) and back-end (Node.js) components.
* Architect solutions leveraging appropriate AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EKS, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS/SNS) following best practices.
* Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements for automotive supply chains into technical solutions.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers within an agile development team.
* Drive best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and security.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance in development and production environments.
* Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and software development trends.

Required technical and professional expertise
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Minimum of 7+ years of professional software development experience.
* Minimum of 5+ years of significant hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications, with deep expertise in AWS.
* Proven, extensive hands-on development expertise (5+ years) using React for front-end development and Node.js for back-end development within an AWS environment.
* Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or acting as a technical lead for a development team.
* Experience building complex, data-intensive enterprise applications (experience in supply chain management is highly desirable).
* Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.
* Proficiency with database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL like DynamoDB).
* Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals, agile methodologies, version control (Git), and CI/CD practices.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
This Job can be Performed from anywhere in the US.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Direct experience developing software solutions specifically for Automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
* Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/EKS).
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
* Familiarity with other major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
* Knowledge of specific automotive supply chain processes (e.g., JIT/JIS, logistics, VMS, warranty management).
* Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
