Solution Architect - FSCT BPO

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities
Responsible for translating the client's business requirements to define the solutions and process components.The Architect understands client needs, works in levels of abstraction, applies industry knowledge, and leverages appropriate business elements and tools to address those needs.
This includes working with client personnel and executives to identify functional and non functional requirements and subsequently working with and leading others in the identification, justification and design of the client's solution.
Responsible for a wide range of architectural activities from requirements analysis through process and tools design specification.
The position requires significant knowledge across multiple processes or tools, as well as broad knowledge, and will include directing the efforts of less experienced architects.
Knowledge Management: Global knowledge sharing and management is key to IBM's success. Will participate in, and/or be responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection, and reuse of IBM's intellectual capital. They will participate actively in knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges.
Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Environment:
Understands and applies knowledge of processes, business unit or country objectives in framing, evaluating and selecting alternatives for solutions. Has the required proficiency levels of skills and applies skills to the design of architectural solutions.
Understands organizational resources, priorities, needs and policies.
Communication/Negotiation:
Mentors others in the Architect profession. Provides guidance to team members (Project Managers, Architects and Specialists, among others) in new or complex solution design.

Leads negotiations with engagement partners and team members (vendors, subcontractors, customers, IBMers) to define project goals and strategies for attaining them.
Proactive and Creative Problem Solving:
Anticipates potential problems associated with the solution being developed. Develops and leads execution of the technical risk management plan for the solution to be implemented.
Understands future customer, industry and trends. Applies this understanding to develop robust solutions and to identify opportunities for future business.
Analyzes new and complex situations. Selects, tailors and applies methods to analyze client needs and develop requirements for solutions. Evaluates potential solution elements using a formal methodology and selects most appropriate elements. Assesses business and impact of solutions.
Leads the implementation of solution or provides expert guidance to the solution implementation team. Identifies architectural methods and supporting tools.

Agile strategic thinking to embrace imperfect data / information and combine with intuition to offer actionable advice to client executives

Leads multifunctional teams. Identifies needs for specialized expertise outside own area, gets commitment of needed resources, and effectively applies the expertise of team members to the development of architectural solutions.
Accountable for projects or programs involving multifunctional, country-wide or regional teams. Responsible for the successful implementation of a solution within identified cost, schedule and functional requirements.
Leads assessment of cost, schedule and dependencies associated with marketing and proposal activities and with solution development.
Activities directly affect customer satisfaction. Work is visible to and recognized by all levels of customer organization. Works with customers, from team members to executive levels, to ensure understanding of, acceptance of and satisfaction with solution and development approach.
Architectural leadership activities produce cost effective solutions which directly affect functional, business unit or country costs and expenses.
Contributes to the vision of functional or unit mission and applies vision in engagements.
Candidates with deep domain knowledge where he/she has tech enabled services experience in the specific domain. We need the candidates to create innovative and workable tech enabled solutions that solve clients' challenges
Develop solutions with passion to be essential and create an impact for the client and the organisation
Envision benefits and advantages that will help the client succeed and take ownership to execute the vision/goals to the final stage
Reinvent and create new oppurtunities and approaches to "go above and beyond" on behalf of client and the organisation
Build trust and personal responsibility in all interactions within the organsiation and with the clients
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred education
Master's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Candidate should have Masters degree in Finance/CA/CFA/CPA
- Experience selling / pitching to senior execs
- Extensive pre sales experience - 12-15 years relevant experience, 5-7 years vertical industry experience (Business process experience)
- Experience in conducting workshops.
- Design Thinking Coach certification and experience in leading client facing design thinking workshop.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Multi lingual will be an advantage.
