Cross-functional collaboration and alignment

• Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams of product managers, engineers, and designers in an agile environment to define strategies and lead the creation of best-in-class design patterns.

Required technical and professional expertise

• 6 yrs experience in solving complex user problems using design thinking strategies.
• 6 yrs experience in collaborating with UX researchers and translating insights from into appropriate product features that are accessible and put the customer at the centre.
• 6 yrs experience building user interface mockups (low- and high- fidelity), patterns, mockups, storyboards, interactive prototypes, and development-ready specifications.
• Portfolio of previous work must be submitted as part your application incorporating UI designs and/or sketches that demonstrate an understanding of design best practices across different platforms and devices.
• Understand modern design thinking and design trends (including responsiveness and accessibility).
• Understand different industries to better gauge how design issues and users can differ across them.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience influencing multidisciplinary teams, communicating design needs, and accurately scoping your team's work to drive action towards business goals.
• Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills as well as storytelling and documentation skills.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
