Introduction
As a Senior Solution Architect in IBM Consulting Korea, you will lead the architectural design and technical direction of complex system integration projects across industries. You will collaborate with clients, technical leads, and delivery teams to shape and implement end-to-end solutions leveraging hybrid cloud, modern application platforms, and enterprise integration frameworks.
Your role and responsibilities
- Lead architecture design for system integration projects involving hybrid/multi-cloud environments and modern application platforms.
- Analyze requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable technical architectures.
- Guide technical teams through the implementation of application frameworks, APIs, microservices, and integration layers.
- Conduct architectural assessments, PoCs, and technology evaluations to support client decisions.
- Interface with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, governance, and DevSecOps practices.
- Support proposal development, estimations, and solutioning in pre-sales engagements.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers; contribute to capability building in cloud-native and application modernization.

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise application development, integration, or architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, or equivalent backend frameworks.
- Expertise in designing distributed systems using microservices, API Gateway, REST/GraphQL.
- Proven experience in hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, etc.).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitOps, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of application security, resilience, and performance patterns.
- Familiarity with modern architectural patterns (e.g., Event-driven, Domain-driven Design).
- Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience in IT modernization or legacy transformation projects (e.g., WAS migration, monolith to microservices).
- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Service Mesh, or Istio is a plus.
- Experience working in agile delivery environments and using tools like Jira, Confluence.
