Your role and responsibilities
Senior Software Development Engineer, IBM Corporation, Bellevue, WA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted)
- Build scalable cloud-native services that solve new and existing business challenges and meet customer needs.
- Develop and deploy features, taking full ownership of the entire feature lifecycle, from initial concept and design to launch and production, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality delivery.
- Work with Product Managers, User Experience Designers, and other Engineers to achieve high-quality solutions.
- Build and deliver complex software systems with modern API design and implementation.
- Guide and mentor junior developers to enhance their skills and expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software development methodologies.
- Design and develop large-scale, highly performant applications using object-oriented programming.
- Track software development in Agile methodologies and build CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployments.
- Use SDLC best practices for coding standards, reviews, code management, building processes and testing.
- Work on advanced software design and development, leveraging Java.
- Help resolve issues with strong customer focus and written/ verbal communication skills.
- Utilize: High Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, Restful APIs, Agile Methodology, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Object-Oriented Programming, Relational Databases.
