Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales / Business Development Manager to drive the growth of the IBM Career Education (IBM CE) Program in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the educational services or EdTech domain, with experience in engaging through sales partners. The role requires strategic planning, partner engagement, and relationship management to expand IBM CE's footprint across universities and educational institutions in India.

Your role and responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive IBM ICE program adoption across educational institutions.

Partner Management: Identify, onboard, and manage sales partners to enhance outreach and market penetration.

University Engagement: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in universities, including Chancellors, Vice-Chancellors, and Registrars, to facilitate partnerships.

Negotiation & Agreements: Lead discussions on program adoption, course selection, and agreement execution, ensuring compliance with IBM's partnership models.

Market Analysis & Expansion: Analyse market trends, identify potential opportunities, and develop go-to-market plans to drive revenue growth.

Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, Legal, Finance/ Billing etc to ensure seamless implementation of IBM CE programs.

Sales Targets & Reporting: Achieve sales targets, track progress, and report key performance metrics to senior management.

Promotional Activities: Organize and participate in industry events, workshops, and digital recruiter meets to promote IBM CE programs.

Required technical and professional expertise

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.

12-15 years of experience in sales and business development within the educational services or EdTech industry in India.

Proven track record of managing sales partnerships and driving business growth.

Strong understanding of the higher education landscape in India and the ability to engage with university decision-makers.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a focus on results.
