Quantum Compilers and Programming Research Postdoc

Your role and responsibilities

A successful candidate will

• identify and develop practical programming methods for large error-corrected quantum algorithms, and apply them to algorithm characterization and resource estimation research,
• identify and develop intermediate representations for quantum compilation systems, and apply them to quantum circuit optimization techniques,
• produce research outcomes and publications to be presented at top conferences,
• and work with engineering teams to integrate novel research into quantum compilation products.

• Doctorate degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science, or related software experience
• Experience with quantum compilation and quantum programming research
• Familiarity with programming languages for scientific computing (Python, or equivalent)

• Familiarity with programming languages for high-performance computing (Rust, C++, or equivalent)
• Experience with large-scale software engineering projects involving multiple contributors and programming languages

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
