QA Tester

We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Tester to join our team. As a QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications across multiple platforms.

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for an eCommerce application.
• Write Gherkin-based scenarios and convert them into automated tests.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Conduct functional testing to identify and report software defects, ensuring the reliability of our products.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of product requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Document software defects, issues, and risks in a clear and concise manner, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis of identified issues and work closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolutions.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Experience as a QA Tester with Automation.
• Extensive knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools and test automation frameworks (Playwright with Typescript, Gherkin, Jira Xray is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with source code control and CI/CD platforms (GIT, Jenkins) and debugging tools.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and technical skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with testers, developers, product managers and other stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with other testers, developers, product managers and other stakeholders
• Team Player, Self-driven, well organized and proactive.
