The Infrastructure group is responsible for building and maintaining the components, tools, and systems that make up the Power, Z, Quantum Controls and Circuit Technologies. We are a large team spread across the world with a wide array of specialties and projects, working on everything from power management to silicon design.

Your role and responsibilities

This role is responsible for working technically with external suppliers, IBM development, and IBM manufacturing on early product development, qualification, quality management, and ongoing production support (internally or externally) for the products/parts they own. This involves many facets of the supply chain such as: technology convergence, qualification, environmental compliance/supply chain social responsibility directives, sustainability and quality support such as supplier commodity field performance, tooling, changes and delivery. This position focuses on communicating technical specifications and driving continuous quality improvement.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Bachelor in Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Understanding of product development lifecycle, with exposure to early product development, design for manufacturability, and qualification processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive quality practices.
• Familiarity with supply chain processes including supplier qualification, technology integration, tooling and change control, delivery assurance, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate and communicate technical specifications clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Passion for continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making in both manufacturing and supplier quality environments.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Some intern or co-op experience in a technical field is preferred.
