Your role and responsibilities
Package Consultant, IBM Corporation, Coppell, TX (Up to 100 % telecommuting permitted):
- Act as OMS Application Architect to design and develop Sterling Supply Chain Multi-Channel Selling and Fulfillment suite (SMCFS) based on the client's omnichannel requirements related to order capture, order management, order fulfillment, store inventory management and inventory transfers.
- Design and implement Sterling OMS solutions into existing environments and design business workflows to ensure proper application mapping/flow.
- Lead design sessions and code reviews of extensions and customizations of the Sterling product development framework.
- Anchor proof of concept (POC) development to validate proposed solution and reduce technical risk.
- Oversee the end-to-end unit, system and integration testing for checking stability of interfaces, defect analysis and bugs/incident fixing.
- Develop in-depth architectural workflows of the Order Capture, Sourcing, Inventory Management modules, developing solutions to carry out critical payment-related processes during order processing.
- Responsible for design/development of the interface contract between Sterling Order Management and various other systems within the client's retail/supply-chain ecosystem.
- Implement code extensions using Service-oriented designs and techniques such as Web Services (SOAP), REST Services (JSON) and JMS (Java Message Service).
- Prepare solution design and detailed design documents based on the product framework to represent the future state of the Sterling order management system (OMS) and support new functionality upgrades.
- Implement User Exit (UE) and User Interface (UI) in Sterling Selling and Fulfillment System.
- Implement DevOps processes and code build modules for deployment automation of Sterling and UI application builds.
- Utilize: Java, J2EE, Oracle 12g, Jenkins, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT), Jira, Confluence, Splunk.
