Introduction

The Occupational Safety Professional should be locally certified to fulfill Level-3 requirement. The incumbent should possess knowledge and skills applicable to the field of health and safety. Should identify and minimize risk, drive continuous improvements and create safe work environment. Should recommend strategies to evaluate and control potential hazards, provide advice and council on health and safety measures. Maintain awareness to regulatory and organization requirements.

Your role and responsibilities

1. Provide technical direction and advice and counsel to management, stakeholders and employees based on legal requirements, regulatory guidelines, technical and global standards.

2. Act as the primary interface with the executive management, local authorities and third parties.

3. Support emergency response, evacuation plans and first-aid program.

4. Coordinate and conduct safety reviews, compliance audits, investigations in various work environments(like, offices, remote locations, datacenters, etc)

5. Recognize and evaluate potential hazards/risks and recommend prevention controls in the work environment.

6. Upkeep of safety procedures for various business activities. As required, evaluate existing process and implement continual improvements consistent with regulatory requirements and in aligment with HSMS.

7. Keep abreast of regulatory and internal requirements in addition to professional advancements in employee health & safety disciplines.

8. Work with Managers and perform incident investigation to determine root cause and recommend counter measures to prevent recurrence.

9. Have the ability to work cross border and global projects with international colleagues across various time zones.

10. Develop & promote safety awareness and training programs.

Required education

Required technical and professional expertise

- Degree in Safety, Engineering Science, Risk Management, Environment, or related specialty.

- Certificate preferred: Labor Health management technician certificate, Class A or Labor Safety management technician certificate(Class A)

- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience preferably working in Information Technology, Service industry or working with large employee base.

- Good safety knowledge and experience preferred, such as safety culture building, safety management system, program design and development, risk management, ventilation, ergonomics, electrical safety, fire-life safety etc.

- Fluency in reading, writing and speaking in English.

Preferred technical and professional experience

1. IT office applications & Good skills in computer applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
