Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking an Intermediate Maximo Technical Consultant with 4-6 years of experience to join our team and contribute to the development and customization of our IBM Maximo Asset Management solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Maximo technical development, with a focus on configuration, customization, integrations, and scripting tailored to our clients' unique operational needs. This role involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and IT teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing support of Maximo functionality.   1. Design, develop, and implement technical solutions within Maximo to meet business and functional requirements.
  2. Configure and customize applications using Automation Scripts (Jython/Python), MBOs, Workflows, and Application Designer.
  3. Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), REST/SOAP APIs, and enterprise middleware.
  4. Perform data migration and conversion activities including ETL scripting, data cleansing, and validation.
  5. Develop, modify, and optimize BIRT/Cognos reports to support business intelligence needs.
  6. Provide technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for performance and integration issues.
  7. Assist with installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Maximo environments.
  8. Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and clients to ensure alignment between business and technical design.
  9. Prepare technical design documentation (TDD) and deployment artifacts following best practices and change control procedures.
  10. Ensure compliance with security, integration, and data governance standards.


Required education

Associate's Degree/College Diploma

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 5+ years of experience implementing or supporting Maximo in a technical capacity.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, and Automation Scripts (Jython/Python).
  • Hands-on experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), including REST/SOAP services, queues, and data imports.
  • Solid understanding of Maximo architecture, including MBOs, workflows, escalation, domains, and database configuration.
  • Experience with BIRT or Cognos reporting design and customization.
  • Familiarity with WebSphere, WebLogic, or Liberty application servers and Oracle/DB2/SQL Server databases.
  • Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex system, performance, or integration issues.
  • Experience in Maximo upgrade projects or cloud migrations (MAS 8.x) considered an asset.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent training and experience.
