Team: z/OS I/O Configuration Management & Data Science on Z
Mentorship: Direct support from Managmenet, Product Owner & Technology Architect
Start Date: 4th Quarter 2025
Duration: 2,5 years
🚀 Project Overview
Join our innovative Activation Services team and dive deep into the world of IBM System z. This Master@IBM project offers a unique opportunity to explore the active I/O configuration across various system components and contribute to automation and tooling that supports IBM's enterprise infrastructure and beyond.
🔍 What You'll Do
Explore & Extract: Analyze and extract active I/O configurations from diverse system components.
Learn & Apply: Gain deep insights into System z I/O architecture, hardware, firmware, and operating systems (z/OS and Linux).
Design & Develop: Participate in the full lifecycle of a development project-from design to implementation and testing.
Automate: Build and integrate Jenkins pipelines to automate configuration workflows.
Collaborate Globally: Work with teams across IBM locations worldwide, not just Böblingen.
Grow Professionally: Learn project management fundamentals with ownership of your own project.

What You Can Expect from Master@IBM:
✅ Financial independence from day one - with an attractive salary
1st year: €1,950 gross/month
2nd year: €2,544 gross/month
3rd year: €2,818 gross/month
✅ An employment contract with a 38-hour workweek, including 10 hours dedicated to university studies!
✅Master studies at recommended German university (of your choice) offering part-time studies (like ESB Reutlingen, HECTOR School/KIT, FOM and others)
✅ Full coverage of tuition and semester fees, plus travel expenses to your university
