Your role and responsibilities

• Lead & support key aspects of development of new Magnetic Tape Head Technologies.

• Expand existing testing capabilities at Tape Head and Tape Drive levels.

• Design, Implement and automate infrastructure solutions that support IBM Tape Storage products and infrastructure.

• Configure, Manage and allocate tools, testers and other engineering assets to establish product design and performance specifications.

Required education

Master's Degree

Preferred education

Doctorate Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• 5+ years of strong, deep knowledge of Physics, electronics, Mechanical engineering, Magnetics and Materials science.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience, very solid understanding of Tape Head Interface and electrical testing.

• MS Degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering.

• Excellent Communications skills.

• Experience with Modeling, Matlab and Python software.

Preferred technical and professional experience

PHD degree in Physics
