Your role and responsibilities
Experienced Red Hat and AIX OS Image Solution Developer and Support Specialist to join the Systems Technology Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting a solution that enables the creation of Red Hat and AIX OS images in a high performance, extensive infrastructure used to develop the next gen IBM Infrastructure products. This role requires a deep understanding of Red Hat technologies, including Satellite and Ansible, and expertise in nix operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain scripts for automation to streamline the creation of Red Hat and AIX OS images.
2. Improve existing processes and leverage new technologies to enhance service delivery efficiency.
3. Provide daily support and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
4. Engage in strategic planning for future releases, incorporating user feedback and industry trends.
5. Actively communicate with users and stakeholders, providing updates, addressing concerns, and gathering requirements.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the solution within our technology ecosystem.
7. Stay current with Red Hat and AIX technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
1. Expertise in nix operating systems.
2. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, and KShell.
3. In-depth knowledge of Red Hat Technologies, including Satellite and Ansible.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Preferred technical and professional experience
1. Expertise in cloud technologies and containers.
2. Familiarity with AIX operating system.
