Introduction

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Business Consultant at IBM, you will help IBM Clients solve some of their most challenging business problems, capitalize market opportunities and understand leading technologies and the impact they can have on traditional business processes.

We are looking for a procurement specialist to manage internal purchasing categories, specifically maintenance and facilities, with proven experience in retail or high-demand environments. This role will be responsible for handling non-productive purchases - such as equipment, spare parts, maintenance services, and related supplies - ensuring efficient procurement aligned with the company's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end purchasing processes for maintenance and facilities categories.

Negotiate with suppliers and ensure compliance with quality, timing, and cost standards.

Coordinate with internal departments and maintain professional, effective communication.

Build and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Prepare presentations and progress reports for management and related teams.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in purchasing processes.

Requirements:

Experience in a similar position within retail or high-demand corporate environments.

Solid knowledge of non-productive purchasing, maintenance, installations, spare parts, and internal equipment.

Strong skills in category management and stakeholder relationship management.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Intermediate English level (desirable).

Availability to work onsite in Martínez three times per week.
