Iteration Manager
Introduction
This specific role is aligned to the ecommerce team within Digital Innovation and Commerce focused on building a best in class ecommerce engine to maximize sales from self-service SMB clients and new clients to IBM in a "land to expand" motion.
Your role and responsibilities
As Iteration Manager you exemplify and personify the role of a servant leader by facilitating the coordination, communication, and collaboration of work effort through tools and processes for the team. When done well and consistently, this role fosters a focus on the day-to-day prioritization of work and ensures clarity with alignment to focus on delivering agreed-upon Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), which ultimately align to business Goals. The purpose of the role is:
- To embody and actively support the vision and mission of the organization by consistently applying the learning loop of Assess, Clarify, Align, Execute, and Reflect as the way our teams iterate.
- To radically focus on outcomes over outputs, client-centricity over internal business outputs, and using quantitative data with frequent feedback to inform each team's decisions.
- To support and facilitate the team's ability to iteratively collaborate, deliver, reflect, and learn by aligning work effort on clearly articulated desired outcomes.
- Focus on client outcomes by prioritizing data-driven learnings with validated feedback loops
- our act as the primary facilitator for the team's events and shared communication channels by working behind-the-scenes to ensure the program and project is supported through tools, processes, and systems through the Digitization Business Agility Model.
- As Iteration Manager, you are responsible for:
- Communicate frequently and consistently with the team's Program Manager on your ability to leverage the systems, tools, and processes for supporting the team's daily effort.
- Foster a psychologically safe working environment for all members of the team by making healthy debate and conflict about the issue, not the person.
- Support the team members in iteratively prioritizing team-defined work effort on a fortnightly cadence.
- Daily facilitate the addressing or removal of any impediments blocking the team's progress (or escalate to the Program Manager and/or Stakeholder where appropriate).
- Facilitate all hybrid Agile practices (Iteration Planning, Stand-ups, and Retrospectives) through in-sync or async tools and update visualization of the Project-level work and Program-level Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) daily in Jira.
- Be the lead facilitator of all coordination efforts involving meetings, workshops, and sessions involving the team members.

Required technical and professional expertise
Have a proven track record in process management and working Agile, plus a solid understanding of solution-based delivery. Additionally, we are looking for the following skills:
- a proactive self-starter with excellent project management skills, including learning new tools to facilitate through collaboration and coordination and the prioritization of work effort.
- organized, self-motivated, and personally accountable for facilitating team outcomes.
- have experience managing multiple streams of work with cross-functional teams.
- demonstrate open-mindedness and the ability to shift priorities quickly according to Project and Program requirements.
- have experience / knowledge of Agile values and principles and experience in working with Agile squads / teams.
- empower, train, and motivate team members and know how to facilitate their alignment on a common set of objectives.
- possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to articulate and influence key stakeholders / decision makers at all levels of the organization through empathy and business acumen.
- You have demonstrated ability to actively listen and support the needs of team members
