The Solution Architect role is an onsite Studio-based role that interfaces directly with existing and prospective clients. As part of the Studio team, you'll play a critical role in developing and delivering Client and Business Partner Engagements that generate business for IBM. In this capacity, you'll also work closely with the other Innovation Studios worldwide to share best practices and innovation and apply key learnings. The Innovation Studios are an integral part of the MCC Demand Funnel, and we're looking for the best people with diverse skills and experiences to complement the studio team and serve as front line ambassadors for IBM.

Your role and responsibilities
- Serve as Solution Architect for the flagship IBM Innovation Studio Austin location and provide technical expertise
- Design, implement, scale, own/maintain and deliver solution storytelling showcases, technical demos, and other interactive experiences that leverage different technologies, vendors, platforms, and styles of computing
- Discover compelling pieces of work that IBM has done with clients through partnering with IBM business units - including sales, consulting and research - to create compelling solution storytelling showcases, technical demos, and other interactive experiences
- Enable Engagement Leaders to deliver solution storytelling showcases, technical demos, and other interactive experiences
- Collaborate with Engagement Leaders to execute technical aspects of Client and Business Partner Engagements, including, but not limited to building technical roadmaps, assisting in design of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Proof of Technologies (PoTs), and preparing and coaching technical subject matter experts for workshops.
- Mentor Engagement Leaders on technical topics
- Manage architectural and technical setup for the IBM Innovation Studio Austin.
Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Required technical and professional expertise
- At least 3 years of consultative experience in a technical solution delivery role (or equivalent experience in marketing/sales) with IBM products and solutions focused on Hybrid Cloud, Multicloud, AI, and infrastructure
- Experience developing and delivering complex technology topics through engaging storytelling presentations to CxO and LOB-level attendees across both business and IT audiences
- Experience in developing technical showcases/demonstrations that highlight new technologies
- Is collaborative, flexible, handles multiple priorities and works well in teams in a fast-paced environment
Preferred technical and professional experience
- IBM Certified Architect
- At least 5 years of consultative experience in a technical solution delivery role (or equivalent experience in marketing/sales) with IBM products and solutions focused on Hybrid Cloud, Multicloud, AI, and infrastructure
- Expert in developing and delivering complex technology topics through engaging storytelling presentations to CxO and LOB-level attendees across both business and IT audiences
- Expert in developing technical showcases/demonstrations that highlight new technologies
- Experience leading working groups across a matrixed organization
