Your role and responsibilities
Explore the Future of Enterprise Computing with IBM Z System Automation
Are you curious about how some of the world's most powerful server systems are managed and automated? Would you like to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies in a global, collaborative environment?
Join our team at IBM Z System Automation and dive into the fascinating world of hardware platform management. Our solutions help clients operate and monitor their IBM Z systems efficiently-automating hardware operations, managing logical partitions, and booting various operating systems.
What You'll Work On
As an intern, you'll contribute to an exciting prototype project that explores a modern, REST-based approach to communicating with IBM Z hardware. You'll:
- Work with the IBM Z Web Services API
- Evaluate methods for handling asynchronous notifications (e.g., Java Message Service (JMS) or Server-Sent Events (SSE))
- Develop in C/C++ within the IBM Z NetView environment
- Optionally explore PLX, an IBM-internal programming language
