Your role and responsibilities

The IAM Administrator - L2 is responsible for executing and supporting day-to-day Identity and Access Management activities, including provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and user lifecycle processes. This role requires a solid understanding of IAM principles, domain-specific requirements, and hands-on coordination with application, infrastructure, and compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant access operations.

  • Perform user access provisioning, modification, and de-provisioning across multiple systems in line with defined access policies.
  • Coordinate with application and system owners to validate access requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Maintain and update access records and documentation to support internal controls and audit readiness.
  • Support periodic access reviews, user entitlement certifications, and clean-up activities.
  • Handle IAM-related service requests and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when needed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements through proper access controls and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to onboard new systems and define access control matrices.
  • Provide support during internal/external audits by supplying access reports and evidence of control execution.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in identity and access management or user access operations.
  • Strong understanding of domain-specific access requirements (e.g., banking, healthcare, government, manufacturing).
  • Good knowledge of identity lifecycle processes, access governance, and compliance standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other tracking tools to manage access data.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Exposure to IAM tools such as SailPoint, IBM ISIM/ISAM, Azure AD, or Okta.
  • Understanding of RBAC, ABAC, and privileged access management (PAM).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as SOX, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or Excel macros).
  • ITIL Foundation or other relevant certifications.
