Your role and responsibilities
A Semiconductor Research Device Engineerfocuses on the exploration and development ofadvanced semiconductor technologies anddevices. This role involves a mix of research,development, and collaboration with variousteams. Here are the key roles andresponsibilities associated with this position:

1. Research and Innovation:
Conduct cutting-edge research on newsemiconductor materials, structures, anddevice concepts.
Explore novel device architectures andemerging technologies.
2. Device Design and Development
Design semiconductor devices with afocus on performance optimization andinnovation.
Work with simulation modeling team tounderstand device behavior and predictperformance.
Collaborate with fabrication teams todevelop and refine processes forfabricating advanced semiconductordevices.
Investigate and implement new fabricationtechniques to improve device performanceand yield.
3. Characterization and Data Analysis &Interpretation:
Work with test team to perform electricaland physical characterization ofsemiconductor devices.
Develop and execute test plans to assessdevice performance
Analyze test data to draw conclusionsabout device behavior and performance.
Use statistical and computational tools tointerpret results and guide furtherresearch.
4. Collaboration and Cross-Disciplinary Work:
Work closely with material scientists,electrical engineers, and processengineers to foster interdisciplinarycollaboration.
Participate in team meetings, designreviews, and brainstorming sessions togenerate innovative ideas.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation ofresearch findings, design processes, andexperimental results.
Prepare reports and presentations forinternal stakeholders, conferences, andpublications.
6. ESD development work
Develop and characterize leading edgeESD solutions along with helping manageESD/Latchup lab testing queue, testsitedesign, collaboration with TCAD,collaboration with base/passive deviceteam, collaboration with processintegration will be needed to be successfulin this role.

Required technical and professional expertise
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, MaterialsScience, Physics, or a related field
Strong understanding of semiconductorphysics and device theory. - Strong data analysis skills and familiaritywith relevant statistical methods.
Ability to conduct independent researchand think critically about complexproblems. - Experience with device simulationsoftware and characterization tools.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- At least 3 years' experience insemiconductor research field
- Experience in eSD device would be aplus
- Experience in Integrated Circuit fabricationflow
- Experience in EDA tools, data analysistools, such as Python or Matlab
