Your role and responsibilities
The RTR Team Leader is responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end Record-to- Report process. This includes GL Reporting and System maintenance, Journal Entry Processing, Account Reconciliation, Intercompany Processing and Settlement, Close and Consolidation, Cost and Inventory Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Project Accounting, Tax Accounting and Reporting, Financial Management and Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis. This role involves leading a team, guiding, and optimizing team performance by setting clear objectives, fostering a collaborative environment, and facilitating continuous improvement, ultimately driving team success and achieving organizational goals. You should be flexible to work in shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Related:
1. Develop and implement strategies to achieve team and organizational objectives.
2. Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
3. Optimize resource allocation to maximize team efficiency and productivity.
4. Foster a positive team culture, promote collaboration, and support individual growth and development.
5. Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring team resilience and business continuity.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting team visibility and credibility.
7. Drive continuous process enhancement, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize team performance.
8. Develop and manage team budgets, ensuring financial accountability and accuracy in forecasting.
9. Lead change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption to team operations.
10. Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, progress, and achievements to stakeholders.
Per Process:
1. GL & Reporting System Maintenance
Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the General Ledger reporting system to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in GL reporting.
2. Journal entry processing
Manage and supervise daily journal entry activities, establishing and maintaining robust controls to prevent errors and ensure compliance with accounting policies, and providing guidance and training to team members on journal entry procedures. Review and approve journal entries for accuracy before submission for posting.
3. Account Reconciliation
Review and approve Account Reconciliation, monitor and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations.
4. Intercompany Processing and Settlement
Oversee the accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of intercompany transactions.
5. Cost and Inventory Accounting
Oversee the accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels and costs, ensuring. compliance - with accounting Implement standards and maintain effective inventory control systems, driving continuous improvement in inventory management practices.
6. Fixed Assets and Project Accounting
Oversee the accurate tracking and depreciation of fixed assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies related to fixed asset acquisition and disposal. Lead the team in accurately tracking and reporting fixed assets schedules and project costs.
7. Tax Accounting and Reporting:
Maintain accurate tax accruals and provisions and assist in managing tax audits and related paperwork.
8. Close and consolidation, Financial and Management Reporting
Manage and coordinate the monthly close process, ensuring all accounts are accurately closed and consolidated. Facilitate collaboration with various teams to gather required information for the close process.
Process Improvements:
1. Identify inefficiencies in the RTR process and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs and drive automation initiatives to streamline RTR processes and improve accuracy.
2. Continually strives to simplify, standardize and improve processes. Seeks and exchanges information, ideas and concepts to actively support any CI initiatives and/or tools improvements.
3. Engages in and drives all innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to help to achieve Continuous Improvement targets.
4. Provide insights and recommendations to management for process improvements by using data analytics to drive decision-making and enhance RTR effectiveness.
Compliance and Governance:
1. Ensures adherence to internal controls, company policies, and legal regulations and assists in audits both internal and external and cooperates with auditors to make sure that the audit is completed on time.
2. Ensures valid escalation matrices on both internal and client side are up to date.
3. Ensures timely Desk Top Procedures update. Ensures that operating procedures are communicated to the team, understood and followed by them.
4. Track and report RTR SLAs and Key Performance metrics.

Qualification and Skills:
1. Graduate of BS Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics, or other related management degrees.
2. Minimum of > 4-6 years work experience in Finance and Accounting; at least > 4 year of experience in General Accounting processes; with at least 4 years experience in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) setting; and with at least two years experience in People Management.
3. Excellent understanding and working knowledge of general accounting and various accounting concepts and principles.
4. Expert knowledge and understanding on account reconciliation, identification of reconciling items and bring into resolution/closure, journal entry processing, month end close activities
5. Expert knowledge and skills in Excel
6. Expert written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
7. Proficient knowledge and hands on experience in any related Accounting Software SAP, Oracle or any large-scale ERP system is an advantage
8. Expert demonstrated knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS is an advantage)
9. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while maintaining accuracy, prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities and delivering against tight deadlines
10. Demonstrated ability to solve complex of problem, results-oriented, committed to do follow ups, adds personal wisdom and experience to come to the best conclusion and solution, used multiple problem-solving tools and techniques, good relationship-building skills and should be a Team Player
11. Can work on flexible hours to meet changing work environment & schedule and to meet tight deadlines
12. Worked at supervisory level/handle people management.

5. Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting team visibility and credibility.
6. Change Management: Skills in leading change initiatives and ensuring smooth transitions within accounting operations.
7. Risk Management: Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring business continuity and minimizing financial exposure.
8. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration, feedback, and reporting.
