Your role and responsibilities

HashiCorp is growing rapidly and is expanding our focus on executive marketing programs. As a member of the Events & Corporate Programs team the Executive Marketing Manager II will continue to innovate and manage the Customer Advisory Board (CAB) program, launch the Executive Sponsorship Program, and partner with the EBC manager to execute EBCs. Our executive marketing programs help move accounts through our sales cycle faster and more effectively, while fostering and strengthening relationships between our top customers with the HashiCorp executive team and the product leadership team. Additionally, the Executive Marketing Manager I works closely with the sales team, our executive team, high profile customers, and the marketing team to deliver first-in-class programs and strengthen relationships with our customers.

The right candidate for this role will closely align executive customer efforts with HashiCorp values, brand, and culture. You will do this by immersing yourself in the company culture and actively learning our voice and mission in the industry. You are passionate about being a strong contributor to a team and want to help move our business forward. You are a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. You proactively strategize and align your executive marketing program goals to company needs, and also enjoy the ever-changing nature of new programs and can adjust accordingly. You enjoy taking ideas from inception to execution and look for ways to improve and optimize with each iteration. You are very detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and are constantly ensuring the executive marketing programs are aligned with sales and company needs. You like to think strategically and take a highly personalized approach to marketing. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has a background in either Field Marketing or Events as the programs can be event-centric when hosting our most strategic customers.

In this role you can expect to:

  • Execute our global Customer & Partner Advisory Board programs
  • Manage all aspects of each Advisory Board meeting (both in person and virtually) and keep touch points consistent throughout the year
  • Work closely with our Sales teams and Product Line Leaders to continue to expand our CAB program, globally
  • Collaborate and support execution on Executive Customer Meetings
  • Work closely with the Corporate Communications team to fully leverage our executive customer relationships across all aspects of our marketing initiatives
  • Explore ways to advance our executive marketing programs in order to deliver first-class experiences
  • Introduce new ideas to keep executive alignment consistent and driving results
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless customer journey across all touch points
  • Have the ability to execute sponsorship for executive focused third party conferences

Required education

High School Diploma/GED

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 3+ years in marketing with experience in Executive Marketing Programs or Field Marketing with a focus in executive touchpoints
  • Strong written and verbal skills and well versed in communicating with executives
  • Ability to work closely with a distributed sales team
  • Impeccable attention to detail and passionate about HashiCorp's executive presence
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable in a range of environments from overseeing C-level executive meetings to coordinating with EAs

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Ability to coordinate, manage, and execute multiple meetings across numerous stakeholders concurrently
  • Ability to execute quickly and able to problem solve on the spot when needed
  • Actively seek candid feedback from relevant stakeholders

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
