Data Engineer - ETL Developer

Introduction

We are looking for a ETL Developer with strong experience in data integration and cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud (IICS/IDMC), Oracle, and Snowflake.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining ETL workflows that support enterprise-level data solutions, as well as guiding the transition from on-premise to cloud architectures.

Your role and responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Cloud (IICS / IDMC).
• Lead and contribute to data migration initiatives from on-premise databases (Oracle) to cloud environments (Snowflake).
• Perform data analysis, profiling, and mapping between source and target systems to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Optimize and troubleshoot ETL workflows to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with data architects, business analysts, and other technical teams to deliver robust data integration solutions.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, transformation logic, and process definitions.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in ETL design and development.
• Participate in performance tuning and issue resolution across environments (Dev, QA, Prod).

Required technical and professional expertise

Technical expertise:

• 5+ years of experience in ETL development with strong hands-on knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter.
• 2+ years of experience in Informatica (on-premise/IICS / IDMC), including mappings, taskflows, and connectors.
• Solid experience with Oracle SQL / PL-SQL for data extraction, transformation, and tuning.
• Experience designing and building data pipelines for Snowflake, including integration with Informatica Cloud.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL frameworks.
• Experience with performance tuning, error handling, and job orchestration in large-scale environments.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of Python for data automation or orchestration scripting.
• Experience working in Agile environments with tools like JIRA.
• Relevant certifications such as Informatica Certified Professional, Snowflake SnowPro Core, or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
