Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our data platform team in Casablanca. The role requires strong expertise in data engineering, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, solid Python skills, and strong capabilities in communication and problem solving.
Your role and responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP, using BigQuery and related services
• Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to define and meet data requirements
• Optimize query performance and data architecture for cost and efficiency
• Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring

• Write maintainable Python code for data ingestion and transformation tasks
• Follow best practices in version control, testing, and deployment
• Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering
• Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery
• Proficient in Python for data processing
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Familiarity with GCP services like Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Pub/Sub
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows
• Understanding of data governance, access control, and compliance standards
