Your role and responsibilities

The Federal Contracts Manager oversees the full lifecycle of U.S. Federal contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, applicable regulations, and internal policies. This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership, program teams, finance, and legal, offering guidance on contract structure, negotiation, risk mitigation, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end federal contract and subcontract activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and company standards.
  • Advise stakeholders on contract terms, risks, and negotiation strategies.
  • Support program delivery and steady-state operations through effective contract oversight.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and program teams.
  • Maintain expertise in FAR/DFARS and evolving federal procurement practices.
  • Provide insights on the Maximo Compatibility Matrix and industry standards.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Lead the review, negotiation, and administration of federal contracts, subcontracts, task orders, and modifications (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, BPA).
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and internal policies throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Contracting Officers and partners; advise stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support proposal development, pricing strategy, and solicitation review in coordination with capture and program teams.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and support audits using tools like Deltek Costpoint, JAMIS, or Unison.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience with federal systems such as SAM.gov and CPARS, and familiarity with small business subcontracting plans.
  • Knowledge of organizational conflict of interest (OCI) mitigation strategies, intellectual property/data rights, and flow-down requirements.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to collaborate effectively across program and capture teams.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
