Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Consulting business as a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprentice. You will be working at IBM on a Public Sector client facing project. You will also spend some of your time studying for your Digital and Technology Solutions degree apprenticeship at one of IBM's university partners.
Your role and responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Work with clients to understand their business needs and challenges and provide recommendations and solutions to improve their digital and technology capabilities.
- Solution Development: Develop and implement digital and technology solutions, including process improvements and technology implementations.
- Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret complex data to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions.
- Communication: Communicate complex ideas and recommendations to clients and stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, to deliver projects and meet client needs.
- Learning and Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as digital transformation, cloud computing, AI and data analytics.
- Technology Skills: Develop skills in a range of technologies, including cloud platforms, data analytics tools, AI and agile work practices.

Your will be working in the Consulting Public sector. We want to build your experience across the full variety of public sector accounts, including healthcare, defence, and local government. You will be following in the footsteps of apprentices who have progressed to senior roles.
Your Apprenticeship
As a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree apprentice, you will develop a broad range of technical and business skills, including information systems, systems development, data, business organisations, project management and computer & network infrastructure. You will also take modules to develop your skills in a technical specialism.
There's an opportunity to experience University life and meet apprentices from other organisations during days at university and interactive learning sessions.
As a Digital and Technology Solutions Degree apprentice we have the following specialisms for roles in 2025:
- IT Consultant
- Cyber Security Analyst
- Data Analyst

Required education
Pre-University Qualification
Required technical and professional expertise
- All our apprenticeships are office based (if not on a client site) a minimum of 3 days a week, these are NOT remote roles. You need to live within commutable distance to one of our locations.
- Expected locations: Manchester and London.
- You will need to be mobile as all our apprenticeship roles will be client focused, and you may find yourself working at client sites or other IBM locations which could require extensive travel and staying away from home during the week.
- Valid and eligible residency status and the right to work in England
- Roles require eligibility for Security Clearance.
- You must be authorised to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Maths & English GCSE or equivalent (level 4 or above.). (We may request a certificate of equivalency which it is your responsibility to provide.)
- Achieved/predicted a minimum of 120 UCAS points, equivalent to BBB at A level. If your grades are predicted, you will need to provide us with evidence of your grades on results day.
- You cannot have already started or completed an apprenticeship or university course in a similar subject.
You must have a keen interest and passion in technology. We're seeking talented individual who are curious about Tech. We have some roles, which require you to have studied specific STEM subjects at sixth form level. We also welcome applications from candidates who have not studied technology, computer science or STEM subjects at sixth form level.
Start dates for 2025
We are looking for Apprentices who will start on 1st September 2025, with a 2-week induction - please note we cannot make any exceptions to this start date.
