In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the public sector or government agency to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of business operations, data analysis, and process improvement within the public sector. Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to identify business needs and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Conduct comprehensive analysis of complex business operations, processes, and systems within the public sector context.
  3. Develop, maintain, and refine business requirements, process flows, and documentation.
  4. Design and implement data collection methods, conduct statistical analysis, and generate actionable insights to support decision-making.
  5. Assist in the evaluation of new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Provide recommendations for organizational improvements, cost reductions, and revenue enhancements.
  7. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders on process improvements and best practices.
  8. Maintain a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures impacting public sector operations.
  9. Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
  10. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform business strategy and drive innovation.

Required technical and professional expertise

Qualifications:
  1. 3-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a public sector or government agency environment.
  2. Demonstrated expertise in applying analytical techniques to complex problems, using tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software.
  3. Strong understanding of public sector operations, policies, and regulations, including those related to budgeting, procurement, and human resources.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to work and a commitment to continuous learn
