B2B Integration - Senior Consultant

Your role and responsibilities
- Be a trusted advisor to the customer and guide them through the journey
- Review and understand the customer's as-is situation, pain points, and specific needs/requirements
- Provide best-in-class solutions and subject matter expert (SME) assistance
- Guide and implement strategy to transform customer business needs into a technically viable solution
- Implement solutions within defined architectural guardrails, principles, and framework
- Work on installation, configurations, and customization of the solution
- Support validation and deployment (On-premise, Cloud, or Hybrid)
- Analyze and resolve issues, working with Product Support if needed
- Assist with upgrades, migrations, health checks, performance testing, and tuning activities
- Develop breadth and depth of expertise around the SDE portfolio and stay abreast of roadmap changes, documentation, new rollouts, and features
- Help achieve client satisfaction and customer success measured via quality of outcomes, engagement, client feedback, and NPS
- Be the central point of contact across various teams working on the solution
- Act as a mentor to junior engineers and guide them on IBM B2Bi technology
- Continuously learn and upgrade your skillset, applying your product/domain/solution/technical/consulting expertise with IBM Sterling B2B Integration (B2Bi) and Managed File Transfer (MFT) suite
- Support customers worldwide during solution definition, design, installation and configuration, custom implementation, validation, go-live, warranty, support enablement, proof of concepts (pre-sales), and critical situations

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
3 to10 years of strong hands-on experience using IBM Sterling B2B Integration and Managed File Transfer products and solutions:
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (B2BI)
- IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG)
- IBM Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP)
- IBM Sterling External Authentication Server (SEAS)
- IBM Sterling Control Center Monitor (ICC / CCM)
- Installation, configuration, environment setup, and application of iFixes
- Map and Business Process development
- Product support engagement and resolution of technical issues
Solutioning & Implementation
- Analyze requirements, design solutions, implement, validate/test, and support go-live
- Experience with upgrades, migrations, deployments (on-premise/cloud/containerized)
- Agile delivery experience including usage of Agile tools
- Deliver client presentations and demos as required
Programming and Technology Stack
- Programming: Java, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, JavaScript, REST APIs
- Operating Systems: Linux/RHEL, Unix, Windows
- Scripting and automation capabilities
- Databases: DB2, SQL Server, Oracle
- EDI Standards: X12, EDIFACT, ODETTE, SWIFT, HIPAA
- Communication Protocols: FTP, SFTP, AS2, etc.
- Encryption and Security: PGP, Certificates, TLS
Domain Exposure
- Hands-on experience in domains such as Financial Services and Healthcare
- Comfortable working in global delivery models and across time zones
General & Consulting Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong articulation and client-handling skills
- Proven ability to act as an SME, or work under guidance of a lead or architect
- Project/team leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills - proactive in providing updates, tracking issues
- Growth mindset with a passion for learning and sharing knowledge
- Team player with a collaborative approach

- IBM Sterling Connect:Direct (CD) - Secure+, WebServices
- IBM Sterling Control Center Director (CCD)
- IBM Sterling Global Mailbox (GM)
- IBM Sterling Partner Engagement Manager (PEM)
- IBM Transformation Extender/ Advanced (ITX/ ITXA)# Knowledge and familiarity with:
- Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI/IBM Cloud/Rancher etc)
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- DevOps and CI/CD toolchain (Ansible, Azure DevOps, Chef)
- Automated deployments on Cloud and Containers
- AI-ML, Generative AI (LLM) and Python
- Open Source Software/ tools
- z/OS deployments
