Your role and responsibilities

As a Autogen Engineer, your primary resposibilties would enclude:

  • Designing and implementing enterprise-grade generative AI and agentic systems (RAG, multi-agent frameworks) for both client-facing and internal platforms.
  • Developing and optimizing AI models for document understanding, legal/insurance processing, and healthcare data extraction.
  • Integrating AI solutions with cloud platforms such as Azure OpenAI, IBM Watsonx, and AWS, ensuring governance, safety, and monitoring.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product managers, SMEs, legal, compliance) to define requirements and deliver business-impactful solutions.
  • Driving the assetization and modularization of AI solutions to enable reusability across multiple client engagements.
  • Supporting deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of AI systems with a focus on data drift, model explainability, and responsible AI practices.
  • Producing high-quality technical documentation, onboarding guides, and architecture blueprints for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading and contributing to client presentations and workshops, effectively articulating technical solutions and business value.
  • Facilitating communication and delivery with Arabic-speaking clients across the Middle East and North Africa, supporting IBM's regional growth and cross-border initiatives.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership in guiding squads on IBM's flagship AI platform (ICA4AA), driving assetization, scalability, and enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Staying informed on emerging AI technologies and bringing innovative capabilities into production use.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Expertise in IBM's platforming and assetization process with reusability of AI solutions across global client accounts.
  • Excellent command of Arabic and English language in spoken and written form.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in AI engineering or data science, delivering production-grade solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with Generative AI frameworks (AutoGen, LangChain) and agentic architectures and advanced multi-agent patterns.
  • Direct experience with advanced agentic systems (Model Context Protocol [MCP], MCP Gateway, Agent-to-Agent frameworks [A2A]) and multi-agent enterprise design.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn), with solid grounding in ML, NLP, and RAG pipelines.
  • Practical experience with major cloud AI platforms (Azure, IBM Watsonx, AWS).
  • Strong background in API development and workflow orchestration.
  • Experience in AI governance, compliance, monitoring, and model drift management.
  • Advanced database skills across SQL (MySQL, SQL Server), NoSQL (MongoDB, Neo4j), and VectorDBs (CosmosDB, FAISS).
  • Demonstrated ability to scope, build, and deliver full AI solutions-not just prototypes.
  • Advanced skills in prompt and context engineering, (parameter-efficient fine-tuning[PEFT]) and LLM fine-tuning.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership in driving innovation, guiding teams, and scaling solutions across diverse projects and global initiatives.
  • Committed to knowledge sharing, documentation, and mentoring to support team growth.
  • Effective at working both independently and collaboratively within global, multicultural teams.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Delivery experience in healthcare, insurance, legal, and other regulated sectors.
  • Experience with LLMOps tools (LangSmith, Weights & Biases, etc.)
  • Experience with IBM Garage, OpenPages, OpenScale, and advanced governance platforms.
  • Understanding of AI cost optimization and production reliability concerns.
  • Experience building AI solutions with synthetic or simulated data.
