We are seeking a highly organized individual with project management skills as well as business and technology consulting or business analyst experience. At IBM, our Project Managers play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. As a Project Manager for our Customer Success Global Practice team, you'll be responsible for working cross-functionally while driving projects to completion. Project examples include bringing new products and related services to market, defining and building out new processes to improve how we support internal and external customers as well as partners, migration efforts to move customers from older offerings to newer, and efforts to migrate internal processes to new tools or processes. As a Global Practice Project Manager, you will lead internal projects and liaise between the various parts of the organization. Your efforts will directly impact how the IBM Apptio Customer Success (CS) business unit works to deliver solutions to our clients, enable adoption, and ultimately drive renewals.

Your role and responsibilities

• Own and lead multiple concurrent projects to successful and timely completion by leveraging resources from multiple parts of the organization along with success criteria set out by the Global Practice Leadership team.
• Use your business analysis skills to engage subject matter experts within the organization to identify and document requirements for successful project outcomes.
• Bring your experience managing project team activities and oversee completion of deliverables, managing scope, project milestones and managing stakeholder expectations while ensuring technical success and stakeholder acceptance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure deadlines are met, risks are addressed and managed, and ultimately all project stakeholders are satisfied with the final project outcome.
• Identify opportunities to improve or automate our Global Practice and Customer Success processes.
• Present new processes and solutions to CS and Sales audiences.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Project Management Experience: Applied project management experience managing multiple concurrent and highly visible projects. Experience with MS Project, Targetprocess, Monday or other project scheduling tools.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex information into simple solution requirements.
• High degree of initiative and flexibility. Self-starter, comfortable with using your own expertise to start projects and gather feedback.
• Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, MIS, finance, project management, or equivalent work experience.
• Comfortable presenting to large groups of various roles and levels within the organization.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Demonstrated experience with packaged application software implementation practices. Apptio product experience a plus.
• Customer Success or Support Experience: Ability to manage internal event and site deliverables while maximizing satisfaction, particularly when not all needs are met.
• Experience working with SaaS software in either a Delivery or Customer Success role
• IT Finance background or specific knowledge and application of IT services and financial management including budgeting, cost allocations, capital expenditure and operating expense handling.
• Operational knowledge of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, servicer utilization, cloud, storage, virtual environments, and application development & maintenance.
